This is a movie that me and my husband watched recently. I had taped it when TBN had it on for New Years. We really enjoyed the movie. It is not a carbon copy of the book of Ester and it does not tell the exact story as it is in the Bible. But, neither did the Veggie Tales version, in Esther... the girl who Became Queen.
The sets and costumes are absolutely gorgeous. The acting was great considering that very few "Christian" movies get the good actors. It's not perfect. It is romantic. It's a love story.
I would highly recommend this movie as a date night movie or for a family movie if the kids are old enough to sit through it. Our girls enjoyed it.

I can be compared to a fine jewel. Not because of my beauty, but because of the many facets of my life. I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a co-worker. I am a writer, a singer, a reader and an artist. I am weak and I am strong, I am rich and I am poor. I am cursed and I am blessed. But most of all, I am a child of the King!
I am a mother to 6 wonderful blessings that are each unique in their own right. Three girls and three boys, ages 15, 13, 12, 8, 6, and 5. I pray daily and continuously that my husband and I are raising these children so that they know the love of God and learn to love God too.
Through my family's journey I pray that each of you that read the blogs will be blessed. May you be blessed in what we share the Lord is doing in our lives. May you find the encouragement that you need and know that the Peace of the Lord is for you.
The Lord's love never ends. His mercies never stop. They are new every morning. Lord your loyalty is great. I say to myself, "The Lord is what I have left. So I have hope." Lamentations 3:22-24 (EB)
