Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 (KJV)

The Bible talks about the "fear of God". It doesn't mean that we should be afraid of God though, it means that we should have a lot of respect for God. We should talk to God, tell others about God and think of God as the most important being everywhere. Through learning to love God and learn about Him by reading His Word, the Bible, we will begin to know what true wisdom is.
