Top : Prayer Room : National Day of Prayer - May 5, 2005 National Day of Prayer - May 5, 2005~ Faith JohnsonJust Reminding everybody that today is the National Day of Prayer. I felt I should share some scripture with you too. Let us all go before the Lord. Hebrews 4:16 While you read your Bible today and spend your time with the Lord, please keep our nation in prayer. Pray for the troops, the leaders in government, the people that teach our children, the schools, the children, and the entire nation. Prayer is very important in our daily lives. We, as Christians should pray daily. In fact, we are told to "Pray without ceasing" 1 Thessalonians 5:17(KJV) As Christians we are to pray for the sick, and for those that come to us asking for prayer. James 5:15-16 We shouldn't worry about how we are going to be able to provide for our families and meet our needs. Pray to God, he will provide and give us the Peace we need to get through troubled times. Philippians 4:6-7
Even when we have people coming against us, the best thing for us to do is pray. Matthew 5:44 Pray morning, noon and night! Pray to the Lord and he will hear you. Psalms 55:17 We should also be awrae that we are not pray so that peple think high of us. Our prayers should be from our hearts and meant for the Lord to hear. Pray for what is needed and the Lord will bless you. But while you pray, make sure you forgive those that have wronged you so that the Lord will forgive you. Mathew 6: 5-15 Please keep our troops in prayer. It doesn't matter if you agree with why our guys are in Iraq and Afganistan, or anywhere else in the world. Just pray for their protection, the guys and gals need it. I'm praying for you! Copyright © 2005. May not be reprinted without permission. All rights reserved.
